surprise?

A confession: As a soon-to-be-bride, I have gift registries at several stores. I am unable to stop myself from looking at the registries, sometimes several times a day, to see what, if anything, has been purchased. I feel very guilty about this, and J says not to tell him anything because he wants it to be a surprise. I rationalize that there will still be some element of surprise--I don't know who bought which gifts. I am sorry for being a terrible person.

I'm guilty of that particular affliction.. well a variant of. If I see something on Ebay, or have just opened a new webtracker thinngy, I'm checking it every 10 mins!.. it's nothing to do with the subject matter, methinks, just the need to know!!!

Oh, before you look I have not added to your gift list.. sorry ;-)

Good to know I'm not the only one ;) I suppose in its purest form it's just another form of procrastination...

I find myself obsessively checking my registry to make sure that nothing has been discontinued or changed. I guess it's one part neurosis and one part registering way early.

Once it comes closer, I'll be checking constantly too.

Also, when I was a little kid, I would sneak into my parents room around Christmas time. I didn't snoop in the traditional sense, but I was more interested in the wrapped presents. Which ones were for me? Can I tell by their shape what they are? Maybe its a grownup version of that... wait, I still do it.... oh well. ;)
