Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite authors of all time, and he passed away yesterday. I think it's time for me to go back and re-read his books. If you've never read any Vonnegut, you don't know what you're missing. Click here and enjoy.

I love him, too. Thanks for the great tribute.
Awesome tribute, Ritz. I'm embarrassed to say that although he has been on my list of must-read authors for awhile, I haven't read anything yet. But now I am inspired...
Was thinking that I'd like to go back and read some of his work again, too.
I'm with Kel. Although I've intended to I haven't read anything. A DPU beau gave me Cat's Cradle to read. I never made it through. Probably because I tried to read it on the mornings I had wakeups...not conducive to heavy reading I guess.
MB-Give it another try, that's one of the best ones. I would definitely not classify his stuff as "heavy reading"!
Yes, ma'am
Ritz - what should MB and I start with. Perhaps we will start a book club :)
Well, Slaughterhouse Five is the big classic, right? I think Breakfast of Champions was one of my faves, but like I said Cat's Cradle is also good. Let me know if you're serious--I'll read with you! :)
I'd be down for reading all together...MB and I are meeting up here in Memphis tomorrow. We will discuss and get back to you :)
I will definitely have to come down there for a visit sometime! Never been to Graceland, you know...
Come down and visit before Kel leaves in August. Let's read Cat's Cradle!
Yes! Come visit soon! There are lots of fun times to be had in Memphis. And a group reading of Cat's Cradle sounds great - will try to pick up a copy this week.
Ritz - OK the library only had slaughterhouse five, so that's what I got. MB - you cool to start with that?
(Had to comment on the blog - Ritz it appears I don't have your email?)
sounds good to me!
Sounds good to me, too! I'll have to go by the library because apparently they've stopped production of all Vonnegut books, probably to rerelease them at a later date. Ergo, nothing in the bookstore.
